News!!!

After many years of hosting wonderful guests at our Bed & Breakfast,
Tony & I have decided to retire!

With regret, we are no longer taking any reservations.
This includes overnight accommodations, teas, classes and any other events.
Our cookbooks and downloads will still be available on line.
http://www.cheesecakefarms.com/booksdownloads.html

Those who have already made reservations will be able to enjoy our last hurrah and we look forward to seeing you soon.

With bittersweet excitement, we move into a new phase of our life.
We will certainly miss hosting our treasured guests and
have so many wonderful memories of our time together.

Best regards,
Karla & Tony Seidita

Connemara Ponies and Our Belgium Draft in the Field At Cheesecake Farms
Ponies in the Field at Cheesecake Farms
Spend a few precious days (or longer!) with us at Cheesecake Farms.

We're a real farm located in Fauquier County - Virginia's gracious hunt country.

Tucked in between Fredericksburg, Culpeper and Warrenton, Virginia, half way between Richmond and Washington, DC - we're easy to find.

We paths to meander and a hidden bench for meditation.

There's a lazy stream for meandering and seasonal classes every once in a while to tease your palate and broaden your view of all things country.

Tour the hot spots of Sumerduck, Virginia (Smith's Antiques, Roger's Ford Farm Winery and the new Cider Lab).

Visit the Goldvein gold mining museum down the road then pan for gold in our stream.

Come to hunt country for the horses, the antique shopping, the civil war battlefields and the wineries.  Or just come for the peace and quiet.

Experience the simple elegance of every day farm life.
Reconnect and refresh.
Feel the earth beneath your feet.

Food

Wake up to seasonal fare like local eggs and home fries, corn meal pancakes with hot pear and nutmeg sauce, home made granola, muffins, tea breads, buns, juice, fresh fruit, yogurt or whatever else we're whipping up.  All meals are served family style.

Brew your own coffee and tea right in your room whenever you want a cup.
Most rooms and suites have a refrigerator for your convenience and some even have a microwave.

N
eed to get on the road early?
Take your breakfast with you.  We'll have take out containers available.

For early departures before our breakfast time, we can pack a "to go" breakfast especially for you. Twenty four hours notice is required.

You'll notice a healthy difference in our cuisine.
While we're not strictly vegetarian, you'll find much of our home-y cuisine to be delightfully vegetarian.

Whenever possible, we use locally raised, organic ingredients in our hunt country cuisine and much of it from our own gardens in season.

We
can often accommodate those with slight special dietary needs but those with severe or life threatening restrictions should bring food suitable to their situation.

We are happy to re-heat special needs foods but, with regret, cooking other than microwave re-heating, is not available.

We do not have allergy or gluten free-dedicated kitchens.

Sorry, there is no meal allowance if you bring your own food.

FAQ - Covid Re-Opening Info

Q.  Has anything changed at Cheesecake Farms?

A.  To welcome back guests to Cheesecake Farms, we’ve had to modify things a bit in keeping with guidelines from the Governor and the CDC but, because we’re a farm with lots of already occurring, natural social distancing, (and far less contact than dinner at a restaurant or trip to the grocery store) it’s less than you’re probably experiencing at home.

Q.  Are you taking extra precautions with cleaning and sanitizing?

A.  Yes!   We’ve added an extra layer of cleanliness to our guest suites by sanitizing them with the same kind of ultraviolet light that hospitals use to sanitize surgery wards.  The UV light kills bacteria, mold and viruses without chemicals for a germ free, chemical free, fragrance free environment.  Also, for less contact, there are no daily housekeeping services like making your bed and tiding your suite.

Q.  Do we have to wear masks?

 A.  Masks are not required when there is social distancing but that is up to you.  If you are more comfortable with a mask, by all means wear one.

Q.  Are dogs and children still welcome?

A.   Yes!

Q.  Can we still stay at the barn?

A.  Yes!

Q.  Can we still pet the horses?

A.  With regret, all three of our horses passed away during our shut down.  They were very old and lived out their natural lives.  They are buried in the field behind the Mane House.  We miss them very much.

Q.  Are the Mane House suites available?

A.  Sorry, no.  Only the barn suites allow for natural social distancing.

Q.  What about meals?  Are you still serving your fabulous breakfasts?

A.  To maintain social distancing, our meals are en-suite for now.  Each morning of your stay, you will pick up your breakfast at the Mane House and take it back to your suite to enjoy at your leisure.

Q.  Is the Farm Stay (no meals) still an option?

A.  Yes!  If you prefer to make your own meals, bring the foods you require with you.  Both barn suites have a refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot plus dishes, glasses and flatware for your convenience.  The Tack Room Suite (lower level) has a full sized refrigerator.  The Hay Loft Suite (upper level) has a mini/bar size refrigerator.
